We all want meaning in our lives. To feel that who we are matters and that we can contribute positively to this world.
But for most of us, living a life full of purpose is not that simple :
-
Maybe you are uncertain about your purpose and what a meaningful life would look like for you.
-
Or you may know your purpose, but you struggle to reach it and make it a reality in your day-to-day life.
-
Maybe your life circumstances have recently changed and you need to find renewed meaning in the current season of your life.
-
You might have a clear vision for your life and you are fulfilling it to some extent, but you feel drained along the way...
If any of this sounds familiar, you have come to the right place!
A life coach can help you discover who you are, define what a purpose-filled life would look like for you in the season you're in, help you set specific goals and empower you to achieve them, step by step.
As a coach specialised in well-being, I specifically empower you to walk out your purpose in a way that honours your body, soul and spirit.

Why "Christian" Coaching?
Christian life coaching is founded on biblical truths and principle. It aims to assist individuals in living the purposeful life that God has lovingly intended for them.

Christian life coaching also creates room for the Holy Spirit to be an integral part of the process. He is the best coach that ever was and will be, and His will is perfect! So throughout the coaching process, I encourage the people I coach to seek His guidance, and if desired by the client, we may pray together during the sessions.
Although I am a Christian Life Coach, I am open to and genuinely enjoy working with people of all faiths. So if you don't identify as a Christian, I would still love to hear from you and I will support you on your own personal journey to living a meaningful life while also taking care of your physical, mental and emotional well-being.

Hello, my name is Mareike and I am a certified Christian Life Coach. I empower people to be who they were meant to be, to pursue their purpose in life, and to walk in it in a way that is respectful of their body, mind and emotions.
My story started in 2014, one of the darkest times of my life. I was deep in depression ; I could see no sense or direction to my life and I experienced a lot of negative emotions. It was a challenging time, but as I began to recover, a new passion emerged in my heart : to help others lead a meaningful life while also taking care of their physical, emotional and spiritual health...

Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is Christian Life Coaching?Christian life coaching is a coaching relationship in which the faith of the person being coached is included in the sessions. The Christian life coach may use references from the Bible during the discussions, and more generally draw on a biblical understanding of the human identity and value. The coach also commits to pray for the coachees and may pray with them during sessions if they so wish. A Christian coach can also work with people who do not share the Christian faith. They will respect their beliefs and values.
-
Who is this coaching for? This life coaching is for adults who would like to asses a specific situation, or their life situation in general. The goal of the coaching is to help them clarify where they are at, and where they want to go, so that they can define clear objectives and achieve them, step by step.
-
How is coaching different from therapy?Unlike psychotherapy or any other form of inner healing, coaching does not explore past experiences, traumas or emotional wounds in depth. Instead, coaching focuses on what needs to be done in the present to influence the future. Coaches do not diagnose or treat mental disorders. However, coaches can refer their clients to mental health professionals if necessary.
-
How is coaching different from mentoring?Mentoring focuses on development in a specific area, with a mentor offering knowledge and advice based on experience. Life coaching targets personal goals, focusing on empowering the person being coached. By definition, a coach does not give advice, but helps the client to find their own solutions. Mentoring often involves an informal relationship, whereas life coaching is more formal, using structured sessions.

What is the life coaching process like?Life coaching begins with an assessment of the situation the coachee is facing. This phase involves in-depth conversations, in which the coach asks powerful questions, listens actively and reflects back to the coachee to help them find clarity. The coach may also propose various coaching exercises as well as concrete activations in between sessions. On the basis of this assessment, the coachee determines his or her objective(s). With the help of the coach, the coachee will analyse any obstacles they may face and come up with strategies to overcome or bypass them. Finally, the coachee will have a detailed action plan that will enable them to achieve their goal, step by step. Throughout this process, the coach's role is to support and encourage their client to make their own decisions, to empower them to draw on the resources available to them, and to walk towards their goals with confidence.

I'm interested in coaching, but I'm not 100% convinced it's right for me. Can we discuss this in person?Of course, I'd be delighted to! This is precisely what the introductory session is for (free of charge). During this time of discussion via Zoom, we can get to know each other, you can ask any questions you may have and I'll give you all the practical information you need. This session does not commit you to anything, so don't hesitate to book one here. I look forward to talking to you!
-
What days and at what times are you available for coachings?I am available for coaching sessions from Tuesday until Friday from 9.30am-7.30pm (CET - Central European Time), and on Saturdays from 9.30am-5pm (CET). I don't work on Sundays and Mondays. If you would like to be coached but are not available during those hours, feel free to contact me directly to discuss it.
-
How many sessions will I need?In general, a full life coaching session lasts around 10 sessions spread over 3 to 4 months. However, for some specific goals, a few sessions are enough to get you back on track. For others, a little longer support is beneficial. We will discuss the number of sessions required during the introductory session, which is free of charge (book here).
